While working on the design for a Facebook App, I had to find a good visualization for the three finalists. I thought that making a podium could be an interesting solution. I decided to make it quite big since I was using the wide facebook-app view which has a width of 760px.

After the competition was over, I worked for some days on the stone material trying to make a new better podium based on the old one. Using the gorgeous “Noisy” pattern made by Mladjan Antic, hosted on SubtlePatterns.com and thanks to the very useful comments, got on Forrst and from Liam McCabe, I fixed the perspective and added details such as cracks, achieving a nice realistic feel.
